Sony's popular PlayStation console themes for PS5 are disappearing! The limited-time PSOne, PS2, PS3, and PS4 themes are leaving the PlayStation Store on January 31, 2025. However, Sony has confirmed their eventual return, promising to bring back these nostalgic designs in the coming months.
In a recent tweet, Sony expressed gratitude for the positive reception to the themes, stating they are working to reintroduce them.

Despite this good news, Sony has also announced that no further themes are currently planned for the PS5. This announcement has been met with disappointment from fans who have long requested the addition of themes, a feature present in previous PlayStation generations.
The temporary themes, released to celebrate PlayStation's 30th anniversary on December 3, 2024, offered a visual and auditory trip down memory lane. Each theme recreated the distinct look and feel of its respective console generation, including iconic menu designs and boot-up sounds. The PSOne theme featured the console itself in the background; the PS2 showcased its unique menu shapes; the PS3 and PS4 themes both incorporated their signature wave patterns.
