Electronic Arts hosted a livestream previewing the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration for The Sims franchise. The event showcased the exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.
The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses several bugs, boasts a revamped main menu, and includes performance improvements. Several classic homes in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a stylish makeover. These updated houses are immediately available in new games, and accessible via the library for existing saves.

The main event begins February 4th with an update delivering over 70 free items! Simultaneously, the "Blast from the Past" in-game event launches. Players can earn retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing simple challenges.
Further enhancing the celebration, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut on February 6th. Specific details regarding this season's content remain undisclosed for now.
