The excitement is building for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) as The Pokémon Company announces a dazzling update for Pokémon TCG Pocket with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon in the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. Get ready to experience the thrill of collecting and battling with these rare and sparkling versions of your favorite Pokémon!

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, as that's when the Shining Revelry expansion will launch. This update is set to dazzle with over 110 new cards, including Shiny versions of iconic Pokémon such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. The digital format will bring these cards to life, making them shimmer when tilted for an immersive experience. Starting April 1st, you can also get your hands on a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder.

In addition to the Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will also be featured in this expansion. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering you the chance to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. Get ready to catch a glimpse of the first batch of Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Shiny Pokémon have been a beloved part of the Pokémon TCG for a long time, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later became the gold standard for modern Shiny cards with its impressive Shiny Vault.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

Get ready to test your skills in ranked matches, which are finally coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. The inaugural season will kick off on March 28th and run until April 27th, featuring the new Shining Revelry cards. You'll be matched against players of similar skill levels, making for competitive and exciting gameplay.
