Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and game modes, along with a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free items, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on completing the "Recursive Destruction" challenge in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The initial "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when destroying a Dracula-influenced object, causing it to reappear in its original state. However, not all destructible objects will work.
To identify eligible objects, utilize Chrono Vision (accessed via the "B" key on PC or the right D-pad button on consoles). Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.
How to Trigger Recursive Destruction in Midtown
This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Begin by participating in the Fantasticar objective. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. You must wait until the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.
Amidst the combat, target these buildings. While you might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced gameplay, several hits should suffice. If you don't successfully trigger Recursive Destruction three times, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges involving the new characters, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
This concludes the guide on triggering Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals' Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.
Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
