Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: A PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Exclusive

The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign, a cooperative Soulsborne experience announced at The Game Awards 2024, will hold its initial network test in February 2025. Registration opens January 10th, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players.

This limited beta, details of which are scarce, will allow a select number of players to experience the three-player cooperative gameplay FromSoftware has designed for the Lands Between. While the final game targets PS4, Xbox One, and PC alongside the current-gen consoles, this initial test will only encompass the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be able to connect with others on the same console family.

How to Register:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await a confirmation email (expected no later than February 2025).
4. Participate in the test during February 2025.

Key Limitations:

• Platform Exclusivity: The beta is limited to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
• No Cross-Platform Play: Players can only connect with others on the same console.
• No Progress Carryover: It's highly unlikely that progress made during the beta will transfer to the full game.
• Party Size Restrictions: The game will only support solo play or three-player parties; duo play is not supported. Further restrictions may be in place for the beta.

While further betas are possible, FromSoftware has not yet confirmed additional testing phases. Specific dates for the February test will be announced in the coming weeks.
