The Battle of Polytopia has introduced an exciting new feature with the Weekly Challenges, offering a fresh and structured way to test your strategic prowess in this popular 4X strategy game. Dive in to learn more about this innovative update.
It Was Random Before
You're familiar with the unpredictability that randomness brings to The Battle of Polytopia, with its diverse enemies, resources, and maps. However, the latest free update brings a new level of competition by adding structure to the mix.
Each week, players face the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, allowing a maximum of seven tries per week. This feature also lets you experiment with tribes you might not yet own. The game boasts 16 tribes in total—four come with the base game, while the other twelve can be purchased for $1-4 each. In the Weekly Challenges, everyone competes with the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, the Weekly Challenges are set to enhance the excitement of The Battle of Polytopia. Additionally, a new League system has been introduced. Everyone begins in the Entry League, with the opportunity to advance or drop based on weekly performance. Each week, the top third of players move up a league, the bottom third move down, and the middle third remain in place.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level scales accordingly. Starting with Easy AI in the Entry League, you'll face off against Crazy difficulty bots by the time you reach the Gold League. If you miss a week, you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on other players' performances.
