Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza
Pokemon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close in March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. Simultaneously, a unique Gyarados-themed playground, "Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima," will debut in March at Soramoa Plaza's rooftop within the new Hiroshima Station building, Minamoa.
A New Home for Pokemon Center Hiroshima
The store's move to the second floor of Ekie, Hiroshima Station's north exit, marks a significant change after its ten-year run at Sogo Hiroshima's Main Building.
The new location promises a fresh experience for Pokemon fans. The current location, opened in June 2015, will close its doors at the end of March.
Gyarados Plaza: A Playground for All Ages
The Gyarados Plaza, described as an interactive space featuring large Gyarados-themed play equipment, opens March 24, 2025. Initially, reservations will be required for playground access. Details regarding reservations will be released on the official Minamoa website.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event
Before its closure, Pokemon Center Hiroshima will participate in a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV" reaching over 1 million subscribers. Fans can receive a special sticker by providing a password obtained from a December 19, 2024, Poke-lun TV YouTube video.
Select Pokemon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with Poke-lun TV hosts. This event runs from January 17 to February 16, 2025, and excludes Pokemon Stores, online stores, cafes, and Pikachu Sweets.
Pokemon Center Hiroshima remains open daily from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm until its relocation.
