Pokémon GO Announces Classic January 2025 Event

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic! This guide details the event, its bonuses, and available in-game purchases.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), trainers will have a heightened chance of encountering Ralts, including its shiny form.

A special research story focused on Ralts is available for $2 USD. Completing this research yields a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with unique Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) unlocks Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day event, this research remains accessible for a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket will be available on the Pokémon GO web store starting January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).

Two Community Day bundles will be offered in the in-game shop:

• 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs
• 480 PokéCoins: 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, 1 Lure Module

Pokémon GO's Ongoing Monthly Community Day Classic Events

Niantic's monthly Community Day Classic events continue, each spotlighting a different Pokémon (November 2024 featured Mankey). These events increase the encounter rate of the featured Pokémon and its shiny variant, offering an exclusive move upon evolution and various event bonuses. December's event is a two-day special featuring multiple Pokémon.
