The Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event is bringing two adorable new Pokémon: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix! Joining Eevee in a Santa hat, these charming creatures will debut during a special event.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep
The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. This event offers increased chances to encounter these Pokémon, along with bonus Dream Shards. Shiny versions will also be available.
Catching Pawmi
Pawmi appears on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, starting December 23rd at 3 PM. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have a Snoozing sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, their sleep styles can only be studied through wild encounters. A Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) significantly increases your chances of finding them. A Balanced Sleep type also offers a chance, though lower.
Catching Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Vulpix, appearing exclusively on Snowdrop Tundra from December 23rd at 3 PM, is more elusive. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails possess a Slumbering sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced Sleep type may also yield results, but less frequently.
Best Island for the Holiday Event
To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, focus on Snowdrop Tundra. However, be aware that this island has higher team requirements, so prepare your team beforehand.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
