Nintendo Switch 2 Lookalike Surfaces, Accessory Maker Reveals

CES 2025: Genki's Switch 2 Replica Unveiled, Hints at Design and Accessory Plans

At CES 2025, accessory maker Genki showcased a purportedly accurate physical replica of the Nintendo Switch 2, offering a glimpse into the console's potential design and sparking further speculation about the upcoming device. The replica, reportedly matching the Switch 2's exact dimensions, was shown privately to attendees.

Images circulating online suggest a larger console than the current Switch, boasting a screen size comparable to the Lenovo Legion Go. The Joy-Cons, according to these images, detach via a sideways pull, potentially confirming previous rumors of magnetic attachment, though a mechanical locking mechanism is also speculated. Interestingly, the right Joy-Con features an extra, unlabeled button.

Genki's purpose in creating the replica was to demonstrate upcoming Switch 2 accessories. The company intends to launch a total of eight accessories, encompassing cases, controller peripherals, and a dock. Despite the detailed replica, Genki remained silent on Nintendo's official Switch 2 release plans.

This latest development adds to the growing wave of rumors and leaks surrounding the Switch 2. With increasingly credible information emerging, an official Nintendo announcement seems imminent, much to the anticipation of fans, developers, and publishers alike. The current Switch's age further fuels this excitement.
