Marvel Unveils Expansion Plans for

Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut on January 10th

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group, a move that significantly increased the season's scope.

Expect a wealth of new content, including three new maps based on iconic New York City locations:

  • Sanctum Sanctorum: Launching alongside Season 1, this map sets the stage for the new Doom Match game mode.
  • Midtown: This map will be the battleground for Convoy missions, promising intense street-level combat.
  • Central Park: Details on this map remain scarce, with further information promised closer to the mid-season update.

The initial launch will feature Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist), with The Thing and Human Torch arriving in the mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The Creative Director, Guangyun Chen, confirmed the season's expanded content in a recent Dev Vision video, emphasizing the team's desire to introduce the Fantastic Four simultaneously. While this supersized season is a welcome surprise, the developers haven't yet clarified its impact on future content releases. For now, it's anticipated that future seasons will continue to add two new heroes or villains.

While the excitement for Season 1 is palpable, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. While rumors circulated about his inclusion, his appearance remains uncertain. However, with the abundance of new content and ongoing speculation, the future of Marvel Rivals looks incredibly promising.
