TouchArcade Rating:

I've been reminded that I should offer more equitable coverage of Marvel games. While I frequently cover Marvel Snap (Free) for every update, other titles often end up in Monday's Best Updates roundup. That's a valid critique! So, let's dedicate a Marvel Minute to exploring other Marvel game happenings. It turns out Marvel Future Fight (Free) and Marvel Contest of Champions (Free) both boast exciting current events. Let's dive in!

First, Marvel Future Fight features an Iron Man-centric event! Tony's at it again, crafting new suits and weaponry. This event, inspired by Invincible Iron Man, introduces new outfits for Tony and Pepper. Here's a summary from the update notes:

"Invincible Iron Man joins Marvel Future Fight.

Defeat enemies with upgraded suits!

  1. New Uniforms: Iron Man, Rescue

  2. New Tier-4 Advancement: War Machine, Hulkbuster

  3. New Legend+ World Boss: The returned Black Order, Corvus & Proxima

  4. New Custom Gear: C.T.P. of Liberation

  5. 200 Crystals Event: Earn 200 crystals by linking your email account!"

Now, let's shift to the ever-popular Marvel Contest of Champions. New events usually introduce playable characters, and this game's roster is incredibly diverse. The inclusion of less common characters like Count Nefaria is a pleasant surprise for longtime Marvel fans. The update notes provide details:

"NEW CHAMPIONS

Count Nefaria: A Maggia crime syndicate leader with superhuman abilities gained through scientific experimentation, later resurrected as an ionic energy being.

Shathra: Daughter of Oshtur and Gaea, from Loomworld, consumed by vengeance after being outdone by her sister.

NEW QUESTS AND EVENTS

Event Quest – Lupus In Fabula: A quest to evict villains from The Collector's ship.

Side Quest – Ludum Maximus: Games and challenges hosted by Count Nefaria, featuring randomized paths and foes.

Act 9; Chapter 1 – The Reckoning: The continuation of the Ouroboros storyline, involving intel retrieval and the potential return of past threats.

Glorious Games: A four-month saga celebrating the Contest's 10-year anniversary, featuring various events and quests.

Realm Events: Global collaborative events with milestone and ranked rewards."

That's it! Both events look fantastic. If you're a lapsed player or new to these games, this is a great time to jump back in. I'm definitely checking out Count Nefaria – he's delightfully nefarious! Enjoy!
