The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is undergoing its official stress test. While some Sony console users received early access, players opting out are advised to reinstall the game.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Players with linked Larian accounts can team up regardless of platform. Even modded games can participate in crossplay, provided all mods are compatible across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's game doesn't exceed ten mods.

Xbox Series S users will finally be able to enjoy split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Additional features in Patch 8 include a customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, enhancing gameplay diversity. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, although some issues may persist. A complete changelog for the stress test is accessible on the game's official website.
