MageTrain: Fast-Paced Pixel Art Roguelike Now on Android

What’s MageTrain Like?

In MageTrain, you navigate a line of heroes that trail behind you, reminiscent of the classic game Snake. Each hero in your train autonomously attacks enemies as you maneuver through an arena. Your strategic role involves deciding the position of each hero within the train, as their abilities vary depending on their placement. Whether leading the charge or supporting from the back, each hero's unique skills play a crucial role in your success.

At launch, MageTrain offers nine heroes, including one quirky character who throws birds. As you progress, you'll explore eight distinct dungeons, confront 28 types of enemies, and unlock 30 different skills to enhance your team. Along the way, you'll also gather gold and power-ups to boost your chances of survival.

The roguelike nature of MageTrain ensures that no two runs are the same. You'll navigate branching paths, make critical choices about upgrades, and strive to endure as long as possible. Similar to games like Slay the Spire or FTL, there are no fixed levels, and progress cannot be saved; if you crash into an obstacle or get overwhelmed, you'll need to start anew.
