LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Author: Ellie Apr 19,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day (May the 4th). This annual event, marked by Disney, typically features LEGO's release of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, we've seen the launch of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to the introduction of Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I to long-time enthusiasts. Notably, the name was changed to Firespray Starship back in 2021 at Disney's request, a change LEGO has confirmed will remain permanent.

The latest rendition of this iconic LEGO starship, which last saw a 'large' version in 2019, now comes with a significant upgrade. The 2019 set, celebrating the 20th anniversary, featured 1007 pieces and was modeled after its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 version, boasting 2970 pieces, is inspired by its depiction in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. With nearly three times the number of pieces of its predecessor, this model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
