Embarking on your *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* adventure? The prologue leaves Henry rather ill-equipped, but fear not! A free and surprisingly early acquisition awaits: the Dogwood Village Bow.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves choosing between blacksmith or miller work. Even if you bypass the blacksmith job, its map marker conveniently leads you to the bow. The blacksmith path, however, also unlocks the hermit's sword later on.
The blacksmith's location is Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). Head west from Troskowitz, following the road north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees—it's easily overlooked. Hidden within this cluster is a small training area.

You'll find a target with arrows—grab them for free ammo! To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Help yourself to some brew from a nearby stump and gather mushrooms while you're at it. Once you're equipped, resume your quest.

Alternative Methods:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free version, buying it isn't the most efficient use of your resources. Vitek, however, offers superior weapons, and alchemy (herb gathering and potion brewing) provides a lucrative income stream.
Regardless of your chosen method, a ranged combat option is invaluable, especially given the game's fixed difficulty. *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s melee combat, while similar to its predecessor, isn't for everyone. A ranged weapon offers a welcome alternative.
After securing the bow (free or bought), continue your blacksmith job in Tachov (save after forging a sword), or proceed with the miller path to advance the main quest. With a ranged weapon at your disposal, navigating *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s challenges becomes significantly easier.
And there you have it—your early access to the free Dogwood Village Bow in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*!
*Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
