Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally launched by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, this mobile port, developed in partnership with THQ Nordic and HandyGames, is currently in beta testing.
Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?
While some graphical compromises are expected due to hardware limitations, the core gameplay experience, including DLC, is planned for release following the initial launch. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a signup form on their official X account.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally within vast, open-world environments inspired by the US and Europe, providing a 55-square-mile hunting ground. The game features authentic weaponry, from rifles to bows, and incorporates detailed tracking elements like blood splatter analysis.
The game's ecosystem reacts dynamically to player actions. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, and full controller support will be available on mobile.
