Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge to reach. This guide details multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and plot advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the destroyed bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood, are visible using Spirit Vision. Crossing requires strategic movement due to broken and trapped sections. Several options exist:
- Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleportation across the gaps.
- Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable individual character traversal.
- Teleporter Pyramids: Using two pyramids, one companion can cross using translocation, then the others teleport to their location.
- Fast Travel: A companion with a translocation skill can reach the island waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap; only undead characters like Fane survive the journey.
- With Fane: Fane can safely cross, discover the waypoint, and allow the party to fast travel.
- Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. A companion takes the ferry (dying on arrival), then the party teleports to them using the second pyramid, reviving the companion. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Important Considerations:
- Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared; he retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. A quick save is recommended. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
- If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge method is generally faster and safer.
By employing one of these strategies, you can successfully navigate the Deathfog and explore the secrets of Bloodmoon Island.
