In *Call of Duty* Zombies, armor has become an essential component of every Operator's toolkit. Players seeking to elevate their armor beyond the standard Tier 3 can do so with a new Easter egg on The Tomb map in *Black Ops 6*. Here’s your guide to obtaining the coveted Gold Armor Vest.
What Does Gold Armor Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Gold Armor, first introduced in *Modern Warfare 3* Zombies, addresses the recurring issue of armor plate management. It automatically repairs armor over time, reducing the need for constant manual plating. In *Black Ops 6*, this feature remains, offering players the ability to conserve resources and maintain armor integrity even without additional plates. This is particularly crucial against formidable foes like Amalgams, ensuring you're never a single hit away from going down.

How To Get Gold Armor on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Unlocking Gold Armor on The Tomb involves several steps:
- Acquire 2 statue heads from the Dark Aether Nexus
- Place the statue heads on the ruined statues in the Dig Site
- Activate and survive two "Blood Sacrifices"
- Purchase the Gold Armor Vest in the Roman Mausoleum
Where To Find the Statue Heads in The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To start the Blood Sacrifices needed for the Gold Armor, you must first locate two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These heads are hidden inside wooden boxes that you'll need to break open with melee attacks. Once the box is destroyed, hold the interact button to collect the head.
The first head is near a palm tree in the corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal. The second is easily found near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.
How To Use the Statue Heads on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
With both heads in hand, proceed to the Dig Site near The Tomb's initial spawn point. You'll find two Roman Statues here: one near the Ammo Cache by the door leading to the Neolithic Catacombs, and the other near the Roman Mausoleum, which houses the Pack-a-Punch machine. Interact with each statue to place the heads and repair them.
How To Survive the Blood Sacrifice in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Upon repairing the statues, a new UI prompt will allow you to initiate the Blood Sacrifice. This challenge spawns powerful HVT versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. In solo play, three will appear, while more spawn in co-op based on the number of players. During the challenge, you're locked at 1 HP, but damage goes to your armor plates, so ensure you have a Tier 3 vest and plenty of plates.
For solo players, using a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler can be a game-changer. As you start the Blood Sacrifice, spam the Mutant Injection input to transform just as the challenge begins, then melee the HVTs to defeat them.
In co-op, coordination is key. One player can activate the challenge from within the Dig Site while another, outside the area, uses a Chopper Gunner to take out the HVTs as they appear.
Once both Blood Sacrifices are completed, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
And that's how you secure the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
