Get ready for a colossal clash! Marvel Comics is unleashing a series of one-shot crossover specials pitting Godzilla against some of its most iconic heroes, and the next battle is a doozy: Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1.

This retro-style showdown follows the previously released Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 and Godzilla vs. Hulk #1. This time, the action is set post-1984's Secret Wars, with Peter Parker still adjusting to the alien symbiote. He'll need all his newfound abilities to face the King of the Monsters.

The creative team behind Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1 is nothing short of stellar: Joe Kelly (the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man relaunch) on writing duties, and Nick Bradshaw (known for his work on Wolverine and the X-Men) providing the art. Bradshaw, along with Lee Garbett and Greg Land, will contribute to the cover art.

Kelly shared his excitement with IGN, stating, "This book is a chance to go wild with two iconic characters and capture the energy of the 80s. Nick Bradshaw perfectly captures the absurdity and gives Godzilla and Spidey (in his classic black suit!) the gravitas they deserve. It's a love letter with an earth-shattering roar!"

While DC Comics recently released Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, Marvel's series features the classic Toho version of Godzilla, offering a different take on this monster mash-up. This release also follows the announcement of IDW's Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, a charity anthology comic.
