For newcomers, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is a multimedia franchise encompassing anime, manga, and now, a globally accessible game. The game's popularity stems from the successful anime series and features horse girls—racehorses reincarnated as girls—competing in the "Twinkle Series" to become top idols.

Initially released in Japan and Asia in February 2021 for Android and iOS, the game has already seen some global crossover appearances, such as Gold Ship in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Expect more crossovers once the English version launches.
