Zynga is bringing a thrilling blast from the past to their game Custom Street Racer 2, also known as CSR2, with a special crossover celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, "Back to the Future," directed by Robert Zemeckis.
CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future
Starting today, players have the opportunity to collect and race the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first film. While the DeLorean doesn't come with performance boosts or special abilities, it's a fully drivable car, adding a unique element to your garage. But the excitement doesn't stop there—CSR2 is rolling out a full Back to the Future-themed experience.
The crossover features a custom in-game UI inspired by the film, a brand-new narrative, and multiple events. Players can look forward to three flash events dedicated to the Time Machine, along with a community competition. Zynga has confirmed that additional themed events will be released throughout the year, ensuring this is more than just a one-time update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting quizzes on their social media platforms where participants can win goodies. Don't miss out—check them out here.

Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!
While the game won't allow you to travel to 1955 like in the movie or even in games like Reverse:1999, this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now drivable in-game, which is exciting in itself.
Emphasizing this unique collaboration, Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, called the Time Machine one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He highlighted the excitement of allowing players to virtually race the car while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.
What are your thoughts on this crossover? Will you be driving the DeLorean? You can download Custom Street Racer 2 from the Google Play Store to get your hands on this iconic car.
