Forspoken is not wanted even for free. The game divided the opinions of PS Plus users

Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering, continues to spark heated debate among players, nearly a year after its release.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions surprised many with Forspoken's inclusion, generating positive anticipation alongside Sonic Frontiers. However, this initial excitement hasn't translated into universal acclaim.

A significant portion of those who played Forspoken for free abandoned it within hours, criticizing the dialogue and storyline as weak. While others enjoyed the combat, parkour, and exploration, a common sentiment points to the story and dialogue as major detractors from the overall experience.

The game's inconsistent nature seems to have prevented a PS Plus revival. Forspoken's core gameplay loop centers on Frey, a young woman transported from New York to the breathtaking but perilous land of Atia. She must master her newfound magical abilities to navigate this vast world, fight formidable creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tants, all while searching for a way back home.
