Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish coming soon.
The game challenges players to locate and battle mischievous Fantasma creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping to attack. Defeated Fantasma are captured in special bottles.
Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can expand your search radius, and cooperative play is available for a more social experience.
Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download it today! Looking for more AR adventures? Check out our best AR games for iOS list.
