"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has now arrived on Android, offering a unique blend of elements in a walking simulator with a twist. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this eerie adventure is available for $3.99. As you navigate through its unsettling corridors, you'll find yourself constantly questioning your every move.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, you explore an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You're trapped in a loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even a solitary figure walking towards you endlessly repeat. The challenge lies in spotting anomalies—whether it's a poster with a changed graphic, flickering lights, or something as stark as a river of blood replacing the floor. The core gameplay revolves around noticing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

If you spot something unusual, you must turn back. If not, keep moving forward. Your objective is to reach the eighth exit without making any mistakes. This means correctly identifying and reacting to anomalies eight times consecutively. Fail, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms, with its setting modeled after real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. This influence is evident in the claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 encourages active engagement with your environment, urging you to scrutinize every detail for signs of danger or reality distortion. This constant questioning of your memory and perception makes each playthrough uniquely unsettling.

Originally released on PC in November 2023, it took Kotake Create about nine months to develop The Exit 8. Following its launch, the game garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now, it's available on mobile, so you can download it from the Google Play Store.
