Epic Games Store launches free game programme and third-party titles

Epic Games Store for mobile just leveled up. The first wave of third-party titles has arrived, along with their acclaimed free games program, now available worldwide on Android and in the European Union on iOS. Let's dive into what's new.

First, nearly 20 third-party games have been added to the store, and importantly, Epic's free games program is now integrated. This month's free game is Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee, claimable until February 20th, followed by Bloons TD6.

Epic is prioritizing cross-platform integration. Log in with your Epic account for persistent progress across Android and iOS, and a new auto-update feature keeps your game library current.

One thing's clear about Epic: they're putting their money where their mouth is. While the Epic Games Store has trailed behind Steam on PC, a free games program on mobile is a much more compelling offering.

Credit is due to Epic for their commitment to developer support. Their revenue-sharing model is a key element in their ongoing competition with Apple.
