Reports indicate a scam circulating on Steam where players receive fake invites to the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test. Clicking these invites can lead to account hacking and mass spamming of friends. FromSoftware has clarified that all legitimate communications regarding the playtest are only through their official website and social media, so be wary of any external links.

Additionally, scalpers are already listing "confirmed test codes" on various online marketplaces, with prices ranging from $150 to $200, and some even up for auction. Remember, these codes won't be available until February 11, so any listings before then are certainly scams.
