Recognizing that a significant portion of PC gamers use browsers during gameplay, Microsoft created Edge Game Assist. This overlay browser, accessible via the Game Bar, eliminates the need to interrupt gameplay. It seamlessly integrates with your existing Microsoft Edge profile, offering access to your bookmarks, history, and saved data without requiring a separate login.

A key feature is the "game-aware tab page." This innovative function proactively suggests helpful guides and tips for the game you're currently playing, eliminating manual searches. This tab can even be pinned for real-time access to walkthroughs and strategies.

Currently, this automatic game detection is limited to a select group of popular titles:

  • Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Diablo IV
  • Fortnite
  • Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga
  • League of Legends
  • Minecraft
  • Overwatch 2
  • Roblox
  • Valorant

Microsoft plans to expand game compatibility over time.
