Dune Awakening received new trailer and official release date

The highly anticipated survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, is set to launch on PC on May 20th, capitalizing on the recent success of Denis Villeneuve's acclaimed film adaptations. Developer Funcom has confirmed the date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the release and the recently unveiled gameplay trailer.

The trailer showcases the iconic desert landscapes of Arrakis, thrilling combat sequences, extensive base-building mechanics, and of course, the terrifying sandworms – all essential elements expected from a true Dune experience.

Players will take on the role of a prisoner stranded on Arrakis, embarking on a perilous journey to escape captivity and unravel the mystery surrounding the vanishing Fremen.

To ensure a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released both a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows players to optimize their PC settings and meticulously craft their characters before the game's official release, maximizing playtime from day one.
