Unused assets from this scrapped event strikingly resemble the current Tower decorations. The theory suggests this unexpected appearance is a result of a forgotten placeholder date in the game's code, a date Bungie likely assumed would be long past Destiny 1's active lifespan.

Bungie has yet to comment on this unforeseen update. With the transition to Destiny 2 in 2017, all live events shifted to the sequel, leaving Destiny 1 largely untouched.
