Dark Phoenix Saga Launches in Marvel Contest of Champions with Jean Grey, Bastion, and New Eidol

Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, ushering in the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also spotlights the game's powerful female characters, giving players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.

Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest Champions entering The Contest, each bringing unique abilities and a compelling storyline. Jean Grey joins the roster on March 13th, while Bastion arrives on the 27th. Before their debut, the Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, challenging Jean Grey and the X-Men to face dangerous variants in a thrilling new quest.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions expands further with the introduction of more Eidols, continuing the Founders storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three more Eidols are set to be introduced throughout 2025, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will be available from March 5th until June 4th.

Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, is a master infiltrator with skills in espionage, sabotage, and assassination. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix possesses remarkable light manipulation abilities. Despite its dazzling appearance, it's a lethal weapon capable of eliminating threats while remaining undetected.

March also celebrates the powerful women of The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can influence which Champion will receive a rework in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and participating in Realm Events.
