How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Artian weapons are a late-game addition to Monster Hunter World, offering unparalleled customization. This guide details everything you need to know to craft these powerful weapons.

Unlocking Artian Weapon Crafting:

First, complete the main story and reach High Rank. Then, defeat your first Tempered monster (you'll know it when you see it—the NPCs will give it away!). After this victory, Gemma will introduce you to Artian weapons, initiating the crafting tutorial.

Crafting Artian Weapons:

Each weapon type requires three components. These components have rarity, element, and Artian bonus attributes.

• Rarity: Components must share the same rarity to be used together.
• Element: The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. (e.g., two water and one lightning components create a water weapon). Three different elements result in no elemental effect.
• Artian Bonus: Choose between an attack boost or affinity boost (critical hit chance).

Acquiring Artian Materials:

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. These monsters are marked with a blue outline on the map. After defeating or capturing a Tempered monster, you'll receive Artian parts among your post-mission rewards. The rarity of these parts increases with your hunter rank. While there's no direct correlation between the monster and the Artian materials dropped, hunt those you enjoy or need parts from for other gear.
