Onimusha: Way of the Sword Gets a Bunch of New Details

PlayOnimusha: Way of the Sword, slated for release in 2026, promises to be an enthralling addition to the beloved franchise. Capcom is focusing on three key elements for this game: creating compelling characters, introducing a new protagonist, and designing engaging enemies. The developers are committed to recreating the historically rich setting of Kyoto, ensuring a deep and immersive experience. Their goal is to deliver the "ultimate sword fighting action" game, emphasizing the visceral thrill of combat.

Set during the Edo Period, players will step into the shoes of a new protagonist who wields the powerful Oni Gauntlet. Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 to Feature Flagship Monster Arkveld

Players will have the opportunity to challenge the new flagship monster, Arkveld, in an advanced quest designed to test their skills. Additionally, the beta will include a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and various online features such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Private Lobbies are ideal for playing with friends without appearing in public searches, while Online Single Player mode allows solo play with the option to use an S.O.S. Flare for multiplayer assistance.

Participants can transfer their data from the first Open Beta to the second, and familiar elements like the Character Creator, Story Trial, and Doshaguma hunt will return. The second Open Beta, featuring Cross-Play, is scheduled for the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 6 at 7pm PT to Sunday, February 9 at 6:59pm PT
