In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter seeking solace in managing a quaint tea shop nestled within a magical forest. As Alta embarks on her journey of rest and recovery, she encounters a diverse array of customers, including those who crave coffee, a beverage not typically found in her shop. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?
In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a striking, humanoid bird visits the shop, requesting a refined cup of tea. Following her visit, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry, dressed in suits and carrying briefcases, arrive with the intention of heading to a boardroom for a presentation. Despite Alta's attempt to guide them back on course and offer them tea, they insist on coffee, opting to wait until it becomes available at the shop.
Boro, the tea shop's owner, informs Alta that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving her initially frustrated. However, the arrival of an interdimensional figure named Zenith, who is fascinated by the businessmen, changes the game. While Zenith agrees to try Alta's tea, their comparison to coffee sparks a pivotal conversation about brewing this new beverage.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop
To unlock coffee beans, players must make Zenith a special cup of tea infused with something valuable. This could range from a book or trinket to a pot, mug, small plant, or even a photograph. After tasting the unique tea, Zenith becomes curious about the difference between tea and coffee and asks Alta what's needed to brew the latter. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" prompts Zenith to use the Infinite Path to introduce coffee beans to the forest, allowing them to grow in the clearing for the first time. Zenith also provides instructions for harvesting and brewing the beans, which are added to Alta’s Field Guide.
How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop
Once introduced, coffee beans grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. Players can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, and store them in their ingredients pocket, carry them individually, or place them on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.
Before brewing, the beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for them to be delivered to the tea room via dish trains. To brew coffee, fill the tea maker with water, heat it if required, and then kick the gear to pour the water into the infuser. A single bean is sufficient to brew coffee, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, kick the gear to pour the coffee into the kettle below, and then decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.
Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides an alternative option for other customers. While Boro is willing to try it, he remains unimpressed.
That’s how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
