The Battle Of Polytopia Buffs The Aquarion Tribe, Making Them Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely overhauling the Aquarion Tribe. This marks a significant rework of the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

The Aquarion Tribe: A Deep-Sea Makeover

The Aquarion have received a dramatic transformation. Their land units now boast mermaid tails, making them either fully aquatic or amphibious. This grants them effortless movement across water, though they're somewhat slower on land. A groundbreaking addition is flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

This aquatic theme extends to their buildings. Construction on water is now possible, and players can discover Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins—ideal bases for aquatic warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. The update also reinstates Aqua Crops, a permanent addition to the Aquarion's arsenal, functioning similarly to land-based farms.

Prepare to encounter new sea creatures. Sharks provide surprise attacks, puffers unleash long-range bombardments, and jellies deliver electric shocks. Returning favorites include the Tridentions and Crabs, the latter now flooding tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. Curious? See it in action:
