Bam Margera, the renowned skateboarder and Jackass star, will indeed be featured in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not initially being included in the announced roster of returning skaters. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media expert Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that the game was essentially complete when Tony Hawk personally intervened, requesting Activision to include Margera. Initially, Hawk was informed that adding Margera was not feasible, but the legendary skateboarder's persistence paid off, leading to Margera's inclusion in the final version of the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.Margera's journey has been marked by public struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab stints. He was also fired from Jackass Forever and faced a restraining order from director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats. Despite these challenges, Margera's recent skateboarding video with Tony Hawk sparked rumors of his return to the game.
Set to launch on July 11, 2025, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game has overcome significant hurdles, including the initial cancellation following Activision's merger of the previous developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
