This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, but locating them requires a detector. The detector's type impacts the ease of artifact discovery.
Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2
- Echo Detector - The Basic Detector:
The Echo Detector is your starting artifact detector. This small, yellow device uses a strobe light; the frequency increases as you approach an artifact. While functional, pinpointing the artifact's exact location can be time-consuming.
- Bear Detector - An Enhanced Echo:
Obtained during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo. It features concentric rings that illuminate progressively as you near the artifact. Full illumination indicates proximity to the artifact's spawn point.
- Hilka Detector - Precise Readings:
Acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector provides numerical readings correlating to the artifact's position within the anomalous zone. Decreasing numbers signify closer proximity.
- Veles Detector - The Ultimate Detector:
Awarded for completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission, the Veles Detector is the most advanced. Its radar display precisely locates artifacts and simultaneously highlights nearby hazardous anomalies, enhancing safety.
