Apex Legends Announces Inaugural Offline Tournament in AsiaApex ALGS Year 4 Championships to be Held in Sapporo, Japan from Jan.29 to Feb. 2, 2025
Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Championships has been confirmed to take place in Sapporo, the Japan, hosting 40 teams of elite players to battle it out and crown the next champion of Apex Legends' global competitive e-sports tournament series. The event takes place at the DAIWA House PREMIST DOME from January 29, 2025 to February 2, 2025.This event will be the first ALGS offline tournament held in an Asia, having previously been hosted in the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany. "This year will be extra special as we are having our first LAN event in APAC," EA wrote in its announcement.
"ALGS has a very large community in Japan, and we have seen many comments calling for an offline event in Japan," EA senior director of Esports John Nelson said. "That's why we couldn't be more pleased to celebrate this milestone with an offline tournament held at the iconic DAIWA House Premist Dome."
As the ALGS Year 4 Championships in Sapporo draws near, fans can look forward to the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), which will take place from September 13 to 15, 2024. The LCQ will give teams one final opportunity to qualify for the championship, and fans can go and tune in to find out the bracket of finals qualifiers during the LCQ broadcast on the official @PlayApex Twitch channel.
