Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: not only has Now You See Me 3 been officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, but a fourth installment is also in development. The exciting announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, at CinemaCon. He also confirmed that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously scheduled.

Director Ruben Fleischer, who has a knack for blending action and intrigue, has signed on with Lionsgate to develop and direct both Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and the yet-to-be-titled Now You See Me 4. The franchise has already amassed an impressive $700 million at the global box office, and fans are eagerly anticipating what new tricks Fleischer has up his sleeve.

The first two films featured a talented ensemble cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. Joining them in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t are a new generation of illusionists, played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, alongside Rosamund Pike.

Fleischer, who previously worked with Eisenberg and Harrelson in his debut film Zombieland, has a track record of box office successes with films like Uncharted and Venom, which grossed over $400 million and $850 million worldwide, respectively.

Bobby Cohen, the creative force behind the series, will once again produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work on the third film, stating, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."

Fleischer himself expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going."

IGN's reviews of the previous films were mixed. The original Now You See Me received a 6.3/10, with the review noting, "Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." Now You See Me 2 fared slightly worse with a 6.2/10, with the review stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."

With the promise of more magic, heists, and an expanded universe, fans of the Now You See Me series have much to look forward to in the coming years.
