Key Mapper

Unleash your keys with our open-source key mapping app! You can remap a variety of hardware buttons to enhance your device's functionality. Supported buttons for remapping include fingerprint gestures on compatible devices, volume buttons, navigation buttons, and keys on Bluetooth or wired keyboards. Additionally, buttons on other connected devices should also be compatible. However, keep in mind that only hardware buttons can be remapped, and there's no guarantee that all these buttons will work, as your device's OEM/vendor might restrict remapping. This app is not designed to control games.

You can create "triggers" by combining multiple keys from a single device or across different devices. Each trigger can execute multiple actions, with keys set to be pressed simultaneously or in sequence. Remapping can be configured for short presses, long presses, or double presses, and you can set "constraints" to ensure the keymap only activates under specific conditions.

However, certain buttons cannot be remapped, including the power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, and game controller components like D-pads, thumb sticks, or triggers. Please note that your key maps will not function if the screen is off, due to Android limitations.

Permissions are required for certain features, but not all need to be granted for the app to function. The Accessibility Service is essential for remapping to work, allowing the app to listen to and block key events. Device Admin permission is needed to turn off the screen, Modify System Settings for adjusting brightness and rotation, and Camera permission for flashlight control. On some devices, enabling the Accessibility Service may disable "enhanced data encryption."
