Story

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where Earth is destroyed, humanity survives on floating islands in the sky. These islands, and the machine soldiers that protect them, are gifts from God, powered by a precious energy source called "solar." The ensuing struggle for this resource leads to conflict and the emergence of a dragon. God proposes a solution: the Ukishima Battle, a competition held every five years to establish a hierarchy among the floating islands and reward the victors with "eichi."
