Using happn is simple. Just sign up through Facebook and let the app run in the background on your phone. Whenever someone with the app is nearby, you'll receive a notification.

In happn's settings, you can specify the type of people you'd like to meet. You can choose to receive notifications only for men or women, or for people within a specific age range (e.g., 18–28).

After receiving a notification, you can start chatting with the person and decide within seconds if you want to continue talking face-to-face.
